Absolutely beautiful collector coin! Stunning 24 kt gold plating makes this coin shine. A must for any presidential or old denomination collector. Comes with Certificate of Authenticity, in hard plastic coin case with soft plastic pouch.

Actual coin has another Certificate number than the one photographed. I had 2 of these.

This is a COMMEMORATIVE of the original issued by the U.S. Treasury from 1865 to 1928, gold certificates were a paper currency which could be exchanged for an equivalent amount of gold. In 1933, the private ownership of gold was banned and most $500 Gold Certificates were confiscated. Today less than fifty of the 1922 $500 Gold Certificates are known to exist.

Follow this link to the sales page of the issuer, American Mint. This coin sells for $88.85!
