This is the card game Rook. It is brand new in package :) This is a fun card game, it says for adults, but older kids can learn to play it also. Yes, my Grandma was really into card games and she taught me many and to love them. :) Hand to foot was one of her favorites... it's been awhile but Hand and Foot is where you were supposed to form books of seven cards each. The books are either pure -- all the cards are the same -- or tainted -- wild cards were used to get to seven... I remember that but not much else, like I said it's been awhile... if I played again I am sure I would remember it better lol

its been almost 8yrs. scence i played last but i do have the rules & 4 decks of rock card to play it with but i also have 2 kids lol

we played a game of rook that was like rummy...played for HOURS!! sad the kids now days haven't a clue of REAL FUN.

This is true of many kids! I know my grandma and Mom played cards all the time, and taught me so many fun games, we had HOURS of fun. My kids love board games also and card games, because their Mom does. ;)

no what it is is parents dont take the time to play games w/their kids cuz we have the wii , xbox , etc. to entertain kids now days oh and tv too much tv.

I agree... though sometimes I fall into that same loop, being a full time Mom and student, I do not feel I have enough time with my kids... BUT I make them shut the TV off and head outside to play, make them read, and we play games (cards and board) as often as my schedule right now allows. You are right, kids spend too much time in front of video games and watching TV... when I was a kid I could read through oh... 6-10 books a month and be very happy! Plus we played games. I try very hard to instill those ideals to my kids also. I don't like them sitting for hours in front of electronics. ;)
