My mom's garden is surrounded by cypress Vine & the hummingbirds are plenty. My parents live in Indiana & I live in Kentucky & grow them at home also. They will grow in any area of the US where it gets warm in the summer. This produces the tiny red flowers that gardeners & hummingbirds love. The vine is a creeper & it will take over whatever it grows on. Great way to add some privacy to a fence.

The vine is very thin & tendrilly & will produce hundreds to thousands of blooms. The seed pods will produce seeds & although the plant dies back in the winter, it reseeds the area & vines will grow in the spring. You can transplant the vines or plant your own seeds.

I recommend not planting near where hummingbirds may fly into objects & become injured like by windows. There will be many. The vine & flowers are very whimsical & fairy-like & look exceptionally beautiful in the early morning light.
