The listing, Golden Egg Fruit Tree Seeds (5) has ended.

This plant is called a tree, but is really more of a bush. It is a type of eggplant, though it does not taste like one. It will produce 10-30 small, egg-sized fruits which have a very nice melon flavor. They can be eaten raw, cooked, fried, etc. I've had a 100% germination with the seeds I've planted! This is a great novelty plant!

Note: This is NOT the Easter Egg Plant, which is not edible!

Also note, these egg fruits cannot be poached, scrambled, or deviled! ;-)

These are great! It's an awesome addition to a garden, plus they make a good easy snack (you can eat the fruits raw, which is how I prefer them)! Just make sure you save the seeds for next season!

are the fruits one color or different colors?

They all start off as white, but as they ripen some turn more peach, orange, and cream. Also some of them stay white! You know they are ripe when you can easily knock them off!
