O.K. here's the appeal..First of all it covers up cozier than a throw blanket and it keeps you warmer on your arm area...I think it's more of a wrap yourself up and have a place to put your arms thru....Hope this thought helps....

TGH1987- I agree. I have said the same thing- just use a regular blanket. true I have bid- because it's so freaking cold here I'm getting tired of the layers and the coat and then the top blanket when I take the dogs out and I thought it would be good for over the coat OR for my husband who refuses to wear a long coat. I guess tha could be the appeal- a cheap winter coat! OR it could be the catchy song that is to the tune of get up and boogie.
