Description

The listing, POSTCARD: Olvera Street Los Angeles, CA 1954 ~ Oldest Street in Mexican Quarter of LA has ended.

Great piece of Los Angeles history: excellent condition vintage postcard of Mexican merchant displays in front of the Avila Adobe on Olvera Street, Los Angeles . . . the oldest street in the city! Postmarked 1954, the writer describes the trip so far, and that they have tickets to see 'Queen for a Day' television show. (Does anyone remember that?!) Colors are vivid, card is in excellent condition with intact 2 cent stamp and no damage other than over 60 years of neat dry storage. I purchased this for a collage project, but decided not to use it. My loss, your gain!

Clean, from a non-smoking pet-free home, and shipping is free in the US!

NOTE: Please do not bid unless you can provide a Listia-verified address. I just received negative feedback from a gal who would not provide a verified address, so I refunded here credits . . . oh, I guess it made her angry because she felt the need to tarnish my perfect Listia feedback ~ unnecessarily. Needless to say, I follow the rules. ;) Thank you!
