Description

The listing, Vintage Glove box and Gloves has ended.

Old glove box with vinyl type covering..braided cord flap. Paper loose label inside. It's 12 & 1/2" long, 4 & 3/8th" wide and 2" high.

4 old pairs of gloves. all size small. the first pair has raised roses on them, the 3rd pair has shirred sides.. the 4th just leather. The second pair is simply long gloves.

These were my Grandmother's so from the 40's or 50's.

Please note the first pair need cleaning. I'm afraid I didn't take very good care of them, just stored them in the closet for many, many years.

Hi buffybuttons. I think back in the 40's and fifties all the ladies had them to keep their gloves pristine and in one place. No one wears gloves anymore except for winter time..lol. Thanks for fanning and watching too. Fanned back.

I love this. The white gloves with the pearling/embroidery are sweet. Items from different eras are so interesting. People cared more about their presentation to others. Dressing right, using etiquette...and had cool boxes to store them in. I love vintage hat boxes also. Thank you for sharing.

Your absolutely right on the earlier eras presenting a code of dress and a pride in being turned out nicely. You mentioned hat boxes..I still have some of them and the funky hats that were worn. Some of the hats were so cute..

I *still* wear gloves on occasion, and not just to keep my hands warm. It's almost impossible to find dress gloves anymore!

Even carrying a pair makes difference in how I see the world.
