This very colorful maroon Sweet Pea is one of the best that Lathyrus Odoratus has to offer. This variety is quick to mature, and in approximately 8 weeks after sowing. It is a gorgeous addition to any garden, and it produces masses of highly scented blooms from summer until frost.

They like to grow up on things like a fence, trellis, never thought of them as a ground cover.

sweet peas are an annual, you need to plant the seed every year. You can harvest the seed at the end of the season and keep until spring and start again.

I don't see why not, just remember Sweet Peas are an annual, collect the seeds at the end of the season and come spring plant again.

When you collect the seeds, how should the be stored for planting the following year? and when do you replant? I am in Pa. we have pretty much the same weather =) Thanks!!

I store them in a paper bag, keep them dry through winter and then plant them come spring. Yes, should work for you just fine, sweet peas are like morning glories in the planting.
