This was a gift but my hair is too long and thick for me to be able to use. It would also be great to take along for travel and things like that!!!

I plugged it in today and it gets hot but not too hot. it doesn't feel like when the bigger ones are close to your skin you break out in a sweat. I would say medium-high heat. I hope this helps.
