The listing, Old 100 Escudo bank note from Portugal has ended.

My mom died last year, and I've been going through some of her old files-- she was a dedicated "saver" of everything.

Here is an old 100 Escudo bank note from Portugal, from her travels. This was legal tender before Portugal started using Euros. It's dated "30 November 1965" on the front, so almost 45 years old. Not worth my while to try to send it back to be turned into "real" money, but might be interesting to a collector.

By regular first class mail-- if I mailed it tomorrow, you'd probably have it Thursday, maybe Friday.

Is there any way you could put something around it like a peaice of paper so noone can see whats inside the envilope?

I'd put it in an envelope with a piece of manila file folder around it to protect it, like when you mail photos.

Oh...I got ahead of myself-- tomorrow is a public holiday, and the Post Office is closed... so add one day to the shipping time.
