Before the internet (when dinosaurs ruled the planet),
People had to go to these buildings where packets of dried trees were stacked in various order with printed images and words on them.
They called it a "Library".
In this "Library" you could find large copious amounts of data referring to the dress of the day, depending on what era you were trying to research. I kept all of this research and it might be useful to a budding new costume designer.
Could you get any or all of this research online? Maybe. But it is possible that you will never see this research anywhere else but here in this stack of dried tree skins.

mimeographs (copies of bound tree skins on free floating tree skin) covering the late sixties, the thirties, and other much older eras.
