The listing, So, what do you want, again?? :) has ended.
***Quick 3 day auction*** Because I can be a bit anal retentive, I am putting up 2 more auctions to round my total auctions off to 45. So, a $10.00 Gift card (NO E-CARDS) up for bids and you tell me what you want. (If it's do-able and can be purchased without buying it online) so tell me, what do you want?? :-)
Questions & Comments
Walmart would work for me! You can have them sent directly from Walmart if you want to.
Yes, I guess you go online and purchase it that way, or you can probably call. I don't know, I've never bought them but usually when I win Walmart cards on Listia, the seller has them shipped directly to me from Walmart. I imagine they usually do that online.
I noticed a banner on here that was Paypal secured CC..I wonder if that would work? I will have to check it out and do that. Then David can be satisfied our card is not being used and I wont be so frustrated when I bid on something that does not do free shipping!
I use paypal for almost everything online. It's very secure, but I've never had a problem giving my credit card number online either. You just have to be very careful about any scam e-mails you get if you register on a web site, etc. Never click through from an e-mail link to log into an account, financial or otherwise. Just open a new browser page to login into an account, same with Listia.
I wanted to do that but since we both at 2 separate times had our CC numbers stolen and the hassle it took to get BOA to credit money back..it was a pain! So he had me promise that I would not use it here on Listia. And we have made a total of about 4 purchases in 4 years, online.
I've used paypal since it started, but don't click through from some advertisement. Just go to paypal to set up your account. When you set it up, you'll start getting a ton of scam e-mails, often with misspelled words, etc. Just delete them and spam filter them if you can. Never click through from them. Legitimate paypal e-mails might also get spam filtered, that's a problem I have, but you can always just go to the paypal web site and login. I wouldn't use any advertising link though, not for anything as sensitive as financial information.
Well, my only comment is that online purchasing is, in my opinion, safer than handing your credit card to someone, or even inserting it into a machine at a store or gas station. Lotsa scams happening with those also. I like paypal because it is VERY secure, you never have to give a vendor your credit card number or any other financial information, only Paypal has it. You just have to be smart about any type of e-mails concerning your financial accounts. I have all my credit cards set up online and get TONS of misspelled e-mails from "them." Most get blocked by my ISP before I even see them, but if I go to my webmail and check my blocked/spammed e-mails, there are thousands of them. So, just be smart about responding, replying, clicking through from e-mails. It's pretty simple, really and makes life so much easier. That's why I like paypal.
:) I think I can buy Amazon at the store. I just do not use my credit card online anymore, after it was misused and we had a problem with identity theft after using it online. So, if I can purchase it local..I will get what ever the winner wants!! BTW..thank you for stopping by my auctions..hope you can win, again. ;-)
The point I'm trying to make, I guess, is that you don't have to give up online shopping. Your identify theft problem may not have been a result of online activity unless you or someone using your account responded to a scam e-mail. Honestly, it's very safe to pay using Paypal you just need to be careful and use common sense. I know it scares a lot of people, but paypal is usually not the problem.
Oh no, no..I understood and I feel Paypal is safe, but trying to get someone who has had 20 yrs in the USMC and when he sets his mind to something (unless he "thinks of it" himself) there is nooooo budging that hard head! LOL..it's really quite comical at times. ;) I am a stay at home Mom, so my money is his money!
Hey everyone! I am posting a fantastic auction that is going on now. if you get a chance, go check it out! http://www.listia.com/auction/4994807-4-july-special-lets-do-one-for-the-bonus
