i do need this for me though i got blown up in iraq and i was in a field artillery unit and have lost a lot of my hearing and if i fall asleep i can literally sleep thru almost anything in regards to noise so im hoping this is loud enough for me because ill try to set an alarm for my docters appts and then not wake up to them and it sucks ...

For what it's worth ... I think it would work for you Billy. It is literally the loudest alarm clock I could find and it gets louder the longer you don't hit snooze or turns it off. The bed shaker helps wake you up as well unless you sleep thru anything. If the room is dark the flashing red lights & lit up skull eyes help as well.
