I really want to commend what your doing, I was in a foster home and the foster parents I was with didnt even bother to get me anything for Christmas. I sat in my room while they spent time with their real family on Christmas opening presents. GOD BLESS YOU!

Hey, I really love what you're doing here. I have the movie The Pelican Brief based off of the book by John Grisham. This makes me smile. I am amazed at all of the wonderful people here. It makes me feel warm to know how much people do care when you take in and protect the children I do it can be discouraging sometimes. I am not your normal foster parent you might say.. This is my life they are my life. Therapy,Doctors,Forensic interviews all visitations, court involved with birth parents to help them as much as I can. It makes me feel good that some parents even call me now and I get to stay intouch with some of them..

Thank you. It can be hard sometimes until I educate and understand what they are going through. Then I am able to help them and I also work with their parents if they are around

I honestly don't remember how many Foster kids came and went com my moms house growing up. Cause they didn't keep in touch, but I admire you for doing that. So great auction, wish I had enough to bid so you could get the things they want or need.

I too am a foster/adopt parent. I have 5 kids at this time. One is end stage renal failure on dialysis 3 days a week. He had his 6th surgery this morning. We are praying for a kidney transplant soon. Good Luck with your aucton. I placed a bid and fanned you too.

Oh my!! I have tears in my eyes just thinking of your child. I have a sweet little girl we are in the middle of adopting that has cerebral palsy. She is high functioning and could not imagine life without her. We have 3 at this time with 2 adopted children working on number three. You must be the special one of the special ones they give the children that are really in need. I will pray with you for a transplant.

Patty that is very sweet In my home the youngest child I have had was 23 hours old. Mom did crack while she was in labor tested positive. He stayed with us for the first 5 months of his life and then family stepped up. The oldest child was 18 she signed herself back into care to finish school. the other ages range from 8 months to 13. Most have been adopted to a loving home some are still waiting to be adopted but waiting on the state for final approval sometimes this can take up to 3 years. I work closely with coastal plains /head start. We donate books and put on a reading program for them once a year. We also work with the church with a program called Jam's. They deliver 150 sandwich's every Saturday to children who would not eat otherwise. In addition. We have a great community. Each business adopts a foster child for Christmas. The gifts are over whelming they give. We have adopted 2 one is on my profile picture he was adopted at birth and we willing adopted a 13 year old beautiful teenager. We have one more that has been in our home for 3 and a half years. Hopefully by the end year crossing our fingers. I have room for 3 more to provide a permanent home for. I am so passionate about this. The teens always get lost. Everyone wants a younger child to take care of. sadly most people think teenagers are a lost cause. Our family does not believe that. They are just a little more guarded. They want structure and people to believe in them and do things most teens do. i know the little one get taken care of at Christmas but once you hit 8 or 9 it is tough to get sponsors and foster homes they usually end up in group homes where Love is not top on the priority. boys Girls Hispanic, Brown, White, Mixed. Asian, I never turn a phone call down no matter what time of day or night. Sadly lots of parents are in jail for the damage they did to the child. Well I have babbled enough about my life. No offense, but good luck with that gin lol, I had a lot w/ about 2/3rds as many movies, with a gin bonus of TWO brand new sealed new release dvds, and I barely got those off my shoulders at 40k with the use of the gin in the last day of the 8-day listing. That being said, great thing with USPS is that the shipping cost via Media mail is going to be way less than you'd expect it to be. I only paid 6$ including tracking for a 10 pound box of dvds. Media mail was my savior with the shipping cost for my lot lol Anyway, sincerely, good luck with your auction\. Great lot of movies here. Have a nice day.
