The listing, C.J. CAPEWELL 1873 HAMMER/TACK PULLER has ended.

From the "what the heck is it category"
C.J. Capewell Co. Cheshire, CT. Pat. November 25th, 1873 Hammer/ Tack Puller.
From my research on the web I have found several others that are in worse shape or missing spring. This one appears to be in great shape with original handle.
The hammer is approx. 10" long.
I have seen it called a clap hammer as well as a hammer used to put horseshoes on horses.
A real find as well as a great addition to an antique tool collection.
