I believe they are opalite style glass, or possibly a hard acrylic. I have similar stone charms in other colors, but these are the ONLY ones with a semi-transparent, opal glow.

No, real opals would be impossible to make into Euro charms. Opal is a very fragile stone, so most opal jewelry is a sliver of opal mounted under glass or crystal. But opalite glass has been popular since the early 1900s, and these have the same qualities, with that orange/blue fire glow when the light hits them. They are really nice on a Euro charm bracelet!

They are neat. You could make other types of jewelry out of them, but you might have to tuck a small bead inside the large hole to get them to work on regular beading wire. I made earrings out of Euro charms and that's what I do .. put a little bead in the center so they don't flop around on the headpin.

Perhaps you should consider Euro charm jewelry! It's really easy to "make" and I have a ton of charms to choose from, as well as two styles of bracelet that will fit anyone. To see them all:

They are BEAUTIFUL on any euro charm bracelet! I have already ordered & used some of these on gift bracelets. They are much prettier in person. Bidding on these too!
