Here is some info on Version 5 from 1992 ... Version 6 ought to be a step above, but I surely do not know and have not found any info.
RightWriter 5 is compatible with Microsoft Word, Claris Corp.'s MacWrite and MacWrite II, Microsoft Works, WordPerfect, and T/Maker Co.'s WriteNow. The program also works with standard ASCII editors.
The new interactive editing mode works like a spelling checker, allowing users to make changes as mistakes are recognized by the checker. RightWriter 5 also retains the earlier versions' markup mode, which checks an entire document at one time and inserts comments into the text for editing later.
The program offers users a choice among nine predefined styles, such as business and fiction, or the option of creating any number of custom styles.
Other new features include three-level help, which gives users a choice of brief or detailed comments on errors; an automatic recheck of any changes made in the interactive mode; and copy-and-paste capabilities that allow users to check text in non-word processing applications.
