Description

The listing, Nepenthes Ventricosa cross, Carnivorous Tropical Pitcher Plant has ended.

Perhaps the most popular and easiest Nepenthes to grow, ventricosa makes a perfect beginner plant. Ventricosa are remarkably adaptable to a variety of growing conditions, including sunny windowsills, unheated terrariums and even outdoors in milder climates.

This is either a ventricosa x spathulata, or ventricosa x northiana. I lost the name tags, and they look so similar that its hard to tell. Thats why these are getting listed here for cheap instead of on ebay.

Make sure what you buy doesnt have miracle grow added. They get all they need from the bugs they eat, and if you try to fertilize the soil it will kill the plant. You may use a very light mixture of an orchid fertilizer sprayed on the leaves.

PLANT will ship BARE ROOT so have a pot ready for it when it arrives.

Yes, shipping is safe, I have been shipping for about 5 years now. I don't like to ship too close to Christmas because mail seems to take longer, but other than that, its fine. They are pretty big, much larger than a normal small size that most people might sell. I actually do have some sundews and things but I haven't had time to cover my greenhouse yet so they all might die before I can get around to taking care of them :( I'm too busy with school and everything right now.

Thank you, thats fantastic! I lived at Wrightsville Beach NC for years and filled in a pond with carnivorous beauties! But I moved up north. Lol - I will keep my eye out for you in the spring! Thank you again, Mary

Outdoor bogs are great! This plant though is tropical and will not survive outside, its best as an indoor plant. I am actually going to a farmer's market with my plants in a couple of weeks and trying to sell out of them. I cannot guarantee I will have any more in the spring, but most likely I will.

Im definitely interested in this one, I have a large terrarium to fill, lol. I had one survive in my bog but it was backed up to a heated building and I kept them covered. I had mostly pitchers and sundews down south. Thank you again!
