Please note this is an original NES Meaning if the connectors aren't touching the LED light will blink red. What you do is dampen a q tip in water and slide it back and forth over the connectors. Let dry a few second and then wiggle game into system. Hold reset and push in the power. The game will then come on as normal.

Thanks Petesar, I saw those, but thats Trusted Sellers like this site, I have a reputation here. Id be lucky if I sold it for 20 on Ebay. Besides I like Listia much better. Trade stuff for instore credit.

mine had the "blinking" it was only the pins inside needed cleaning-they have many youtube videos on how to fix that-and websites! =)

Wasn't the zapper (i believe it is the gun-like controller) used for the Sub-game, Duck Hunt? If so, I wish I had one when I owned a Nintendo Entertainment System.

You're welcome though. Anything to help out a fellow classic gamer! A lot of people would suffer from less headaches if everyone knew about how to properly clean their games! Haha, I know, I used to be there! Now you'll never have to worry about the cosmetical condition of any cartridge based game since you will be able to clean them.

Try cleaning your games first, that's usually the problem. If that doesn't work, try to get some Caig's Deoxit. I believe you can check their website to see where it's sold. - Don't be skeptical about using Kit Scratch Out though...it's a compound for automobiles finishes, kind of like Nu Finish, but it's 100% safe and effective (Nu Finish leaves a film even after being wiped clean with rubbing alcohol. It cleans the oxidation but leaves a film so the connection is still interrupted.) I've found many places online that try to sell you a white paste videogame cleaner is usually Nu Finish, Scratch Out, or a similar product...never an "original recipe." - Kit Scratch Out is the cheapest, safest, and most effective compound I have ever used/found so far.

Absolutely! The only thing about the Super Nes is you don't have to replace the pin connector (and you can't anyway). Personally I use Kit Scratch Out to clean my games (you can clean ANY cartridge based games!). You can get Kit Scratch Out in the automotive section at Walmart or at any auto parts store. I believe I payed around $5 or less for a bottle (and it goes a long way!). You will have to get a special screwdriver bit to open most cartridges (Nintendo - all systems & Sega). I use Scott Blue Shop Towels to rub on a little Kit Scratch Out on the rom board connection to remove the oxidation, then a little rubbing alcohol to wipe it clean. Once clean, the connector will shine like new! You wont go wrong with this solution. 100% safe and effective! - Clean all your games (Atari, Nintendo, Sega, etc...) to see a 200% improvement in quality! IF you do ever need to clean a pin connector inside of a system, use Caig's Deoxit. It is a spray that cleans, deoxifies, enhances connection and protects.

Water will rust the connection on both the 72-pin connector and the game cartridge. Actually rubbing alcohol doesnt help either. The only solution is to replace the 72-pin connector, remove the rom board from the cartridge and clean the gold connections with a deoxing solution (like Caig's Deoxit or Kit Scratch Out) and then removing the solution with rubbing alcohol. If you don't replace the pin connector and clean your games with a deoxing solution, it will only get worse to the point the pin connector will corrode enough to break off the pins. No matter what, you HAVE to change the connector and clean the games. Rubbing alcohol does NOT deoxify the connecrion and will only spread thr dirt around.
