just trying to help you save a few bucks! That's all! =) =) =) Walmart has rolls of bubble wrap for about half of what the post office charges. You could then buy the bubble wrap there, order the boxes/envelopes, etc from USPS. com for free (they will deliver them to you too!) then pack it at home, do the click and ship from your house (saving another 15%) and your carrier will pick it from your door. You'll never have to leave the house! you can order as many priority mail, express mail, flat rate priority mail boxes, envelopes, etc in as high of a quantity as you wish from USPS.com and they will deliver them absolutely for free. you could have your own little shipping station set up. Also, with click and ship, you can pay with Paypal and the buyer sees on the shipping label the cost of shipping, just like they would if you did it at the post office. All in all, everyone wins AND saves money!! Hope that info maybe helps you out. if not, just do what works best for you. =)

Do you bid on auctions often?
Feb 11th, 2013 at 9:18:32 PM PST by
Original
yes! I bid on a lot and am always watching a lot. I guess I'm someone who just stares at something I want but will never have lol. I'll watch things from 18 days and never even get a chance to bid lol

Flat rate priority shipping to anywhere in the US in a medium size box is only $5.65.
Feb 11th, 2013 at 8:42:10 PM PST by
Original
it is actually $12.35 according to the post office! Secondly, the cost of bubble wrap and postage.
Feb 11th, 2013 at 8:43:59 PM PST by
Original
Are you sending Express, priority or priority flat rate? I know for a fact that flat rate priority is $5.65. Sources: A. My father is a letter carrier B. Shipping items myself. Go to USPS.com, click calculate postage and then go to flat rate priority shipping. There's even an option for bubble wrapped padded envelopes there. You could bring down your shipping significantly. I'm not trying to be rude, just saving you and other bidders some money.

At the end of every auction I refund the amount of money that wasn't use through PayPal. I take everything up to the post office, ask for the best box to send this in and buy the bubble wrap. The amount is even written on the box when it arrives so they know the right amount for refund.

Also, if you do, "click and ship" from home, you will save up to 15% off the shipping costs and your carrier will pick it up right from your door. No need to even go to the post office. =)

the post office in my small town doesn't do that.. ): it would be nice.

It's up to you and your bidders. I'm just suggesting some less expensive alternatives. Just a heads up though, the clerks will try and up sell you and not necessarily offer flat rate priority shipping which is the same as priority shipping but much, much cheaper. I am interested in your auction but noticed your shipping cost and knew it could be much less. That's all. =)
Feb 11th, 2013 at 8:57:46 PM PST by
Original
well I also ask every winner how they would like to do shipping. This will also be sent with the original box.

One other thing...you can get shipping supplies such as bubble wrap, packing tape, etc. for significantly less than what the P.O. charges at Target, Office Max or even Walmart. :)
Feb 11th, 2013 at 8:59:43 PM PST by
Original
I will have to check out Walmart then. That's the only major store I have here ):
Feb 11th, 2013 at 9:00:38 PM PST by
Original
One other thing, you still get tracking numbers like you would from the post office. =)
Feb 11th, 2013 at 9:11:52 PM PST by
Original
its weird that every single tracking number I've gotten from the po don't work. I told them and they won't fix it.
Feb 11th, 2013 at 9:15:26 PM PST by

no problem. Hope I could be a little helpful.

PS...F&W! =) (after all that, lol)

Seller, This will not fit in the small flat rate box. if its wrapped in bubble wrap.

$5.80
Priority Mail®
Small Flat Rate Box
8-5/8" x 5-3/8" x 1-5/8"

wtih a tablet it would be crazy to skimp on shipping.. You might be able to bubble wrap it.. and then take two pieces of cardboard and cut them to fit.. put the bubble wrapped tablet between two pieces of cardboard.. put a little more bubble wrap on it and then put it in the padded flat rate envelope.. that is even iffy.. fit wise..

$5.95
Priority Mail®
Padded Flat Rate Envelope
12-1/2" x 9-1/2"

That might protect it.. I would also recommend insurance.

I near a small town as well. Really small. lol. But if the mail carrier wont pick it up from you door, you can hand it to them. They have to take it. Thats what they get paid to do. I use the usps.com to order my boxes as well. I have some coming now. I havent used the click and ship though. You can even get the delivery comfirmation receits delivered to you free of charge. Just put it on the package. I get over charged at the post office myself all the time. I get padded envelopes through the mail with 2 stamps on it, and it costs me 2.07 to mail the exact same thing. So yes, they will over charge every chance they get.

The tablet needs a new software update which I haven't gotten an email back from. I wrote a update letting everyone know that who ever wins will have to take the time to find it. I'm sorry, I hate customer service.. I think I just may not have the patience lol.
Feb 12th, 2013 at 10:27:26 AM PST by

I wouldnt know how to update it myself. Never had a tablet before. Thats why I was hoping you were able to get it done. No sense in me bidding. I wouldnt be able to use it. lol

When you say that it needs updates, do you mean that when you log on to Wi-Fi that it will alert the user to updates for downloading (like a PC would do) or are you referring to something else?
Feb 12th, 2013 at 5:20:07 PM PST by
Original
its needs a software update as in you would need to get the software and download is to the tablet.

2 Questions, can you stream Netflix on this and does it work? I don't care to pay shippings costs but would like to know that if I bid and were to win that it works when I get it.
Feb 6th, 2013 at 6:33:52 AM PST by
Original
As shown in the pictures the device does work. I will be sending it in a medium flat rate box fully surrounded by packing material and the device will be in the original box. If for some reason it would get damaged from the postal men, I am not liable. Honestly there should be no reason unless they're throwing the package as hard as they can on the ground. And I don't know about netflix since I have never downloaded it onto this device, it uses the android market (if your wanting Google play I can find a download for you) but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be compatible.
