Description

The listing, Very Old Stand Up Clock has ended.

PLEASE READ AS I HAVE LOWERED THE GIN ON ALL MY ITEMS,THIS ONE BY FIVE THOUSAND.This stand up clock was my grandmother's mothers clock. There is a chip of the wood off the back door that can be panted over or sanded . The door flip locks shut, and has a handle. It's old but still in fantastic working condition. There will be shipping because of how much it will cast on all my actions. I will end up broke. There is no refunds. Hope you understand. Thanx and happy bidding!!

As a clock collector, I would suggest in the future that the replacement battery movement be mentioned in the first line of the description and also pictured so people are aware they are really buying a old decorative case and not an antique clock unless you still have the original movement and will include it with this sale.

How long have you been a collector? Not tring to be mean but if you are a great collector like you say you are, then why wouldn't you look through ALL the pictures? And if you are a collector then you know, anything over 20 yrs is considered an antique. The batterie system wasn't put in recent... Very old pierce...

I'm sorry but he's correct and you said it yourself, the clock was redone when batteries came out which means it was altered from it's "original". this means that although the modification occurred 50+ years ago and the clock is an antique, the value was lowered because it was modified. it would be would be worth a lot more if the movement piece hadn't be updated to accommodate batteries

It does not matter. I told u all what was done to it its still an antique and u would be getting it for free. You don't want it don't bid. Someone will want it so u are not an issue for me. It showed u in the picture everything so there u go. Also we was offered cash two yrs ago, a lot of cash but would not sell. The only reason I still won't sell is because I want something of here and is almost to that point on getting it. And I already am paying out 46.00 on shipping that I just shipped out and will not do free shipping on this I'm sorry. It cost me 12.00 something to ship. The ppl that act like we are dumb to make someone pay shipping can go elsewhere I don't have time to ague over what is more antique. For one it was altered at the beginning of my great grantmother's antique clock shop that was very famouse in my home town in 1901 when my home town was founded. So this is why ppl keep asking me to sell to them. If everyone wants to argue about this then I can take it off and sell it like I don't want to do, but shows who has seen it in person loves it more then ppl on here that try an get u to lower everything and or ship for free. So like I said I will not listen to this any longer, so if your not bidding go else where. Thanx

Do you still have the key for it and do you know a jeweler or watch repair person that could insert stints for shipping? It will need them to prevent damage to the movement.

It don't take a key. And I can ask but I don't have to have that to ship..

I just noticed something about the clock. You said it belonged to your great grand mother so that would put it at about 100 years old. Is that right?

I don't have too the clock was redone that way 50 years ago when my great grandmother bought it to put in her clock shop before she kept it for her own. It can be seen in a pic that's posted! It's OVER 20 years old so that makes it a antique. But thinks for asking. Wow!!! Next!!!!
