These are from Littleton Coin, a large coin seller out of New Hampshire, based on one of the pictures, and I am sure they are real. However, they are SO shiny, that I am almost certain that they have been cleaned or treated. The last picture where the seller is showing a reverse side of one of them is shiny to the point of being virtually proof-like or proof-looking with extraordinary luster, and proof coins would NEVER be sold in a velvet box by Littleton without being in protective airtight capsules. That's how I see this.
The Littleton link that cwdventures shows above gives a link for 1883, 1884, and 1885 New Orleans coins selling for $300 from Littleton. But THIS auction is 1884 1885 and 1886 New Orleans. The 1886-O uncirculated (if it is actually uncirculated and not polished or cleaned) at MS-60 is listed in the Red Book at $750.
nannydi, just one more question so I can determine how much to bid: do the coins look like they have been polished or buffed or coated with anything to make them appear shiny?
