Pink Pearl Pendant .925 Sterling Silver

Cultured pearls grow inside a living organism. However, they do not begin as accidental intruders to the shell. Instead, humans insert mother-of-pearl beads or other shapes into a mollusk. Over time they become coated with nacre. The depth of the nacre coating depends on how long the beads are left in place before being harvested.


Sterling silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% by mass of silver and 7.5% by mass of other metals, usually copper copper to give it strength while preserving the ductility. That is where the .925 mark comes from. In many countries, precious metal must be stamped with a quality mark such as "925" for sterling.

CLEANING TIP: It is advised to take off your jewelry before washing or bathing. Clean it gently with soft cloth or an appropriate jewelry cleaner, this could help to eliminate any dirt or dust and make it last for years. This is for any metal purity or plating.
