Description

The listing, MS Flight Sim for Windows 95 has ended.

Here we have a somewhat used copy of MS Flight Sim for Windows 95. I had to use it to be sure it installed.

It's an old program ... you might find it rather "quaint". :)

At the time, there wasn't 3D accelerated graphics, and
once CD would hold about 650mb of data, or 1/2 that plus audio tracks - or a Macintosh version on a different "track" that only a Mac would read.

These days, everything's got some sort of 3D graphics accelerator chip, and most machines run on Intel processors (although there's AMD chips out there ...) and this program, will probably not install on a 64-bit OS at all.

If you have a relatively old machine, or even Windows 98, and you don't want to shell out a little cash for Flight Sim 98 (and why shouldn't you? It's pretty good!), then
this might hold you over until then. Maybe !

If it doesn't "sell" soon, it's going up on eBay ...

Please abide by Listia's rules "for engagement".

Free shipping in the 48 states (USA) - exact shipping paid thru Paypal for Canada and elsewhere.

-- and PLEASE - GET VERIFIED and have your "Listia Verified Address" ready at the end of the auction.

I should NOT have to chase you down to figure out where to send the item ... right?

I will NO LONGER FAN ANYONE who refuses to get their "bank, phone, and Listia Verified Level 1" icons under their photo. It will NOT kill you to get them.

Take the 3 minutes, and show the rest of Listia you care to participate and be trusted. We all appreciate it. :)

Enjoy, and have fun everyone !

This is actually a good simulator. I had one years ago and the ex spent hours in front of the computer flying...Best of luck with this one Robert. Yes, had a great weekend, may you have an even better week!

I am hoping so, but rain makes for pain ... he must have had something more elaborate than this one though ... this is a real early one.

Years ago there was Flight Sim 2002, and that was pretty darn good. That one is still my favorite :)

is it compatible with any kind of joystick, do you think it will run on windows Millennium Edition?

I think it will work with a joystick - since Windows 95 and up had joystick support ...as for Windows ME ... good question ... I don't have a VM (Virtual Machine on WinME) to test it, or I would know for sure.

My guess, it should work with up to Windows ME, but not beyond, as the joystick support code changed once Win 2000 and Win XP came out, and that's mainly due to the new DirectX code and the drivers are a little different in the later Windows versions.

This observation is based on my testing "Fury 3 demo" on Win 95,
Win 98SE and Win ME, and it not working (with a joystick) beyond that version due to the apparent code change(s) of DirectX and drivers.

I hope this wasn't too technical for ya! :) lol
