Description

The listing, Heirloom Dill ✽ LONG ISLAND MAMMOTH ✽ 15 Seeds ✽ Organic Herb has ended.

An old time favorite, Long Island Mammoth is a vigorous plant that matures quickly. Large umbels are covered with masses of seed. Use as an herb for cooking or canning, or plant to attract butterflies. They are a valuable host plant for the Black Swallowtail Butterfly. I get many complements on the beauty of this plant mixed in my flower bed. Plant in succession throughout the season for an abundant crop. Cover with floating row crop covers if growing for culinary use only. I only water my seeds and seedlings, as they tend to be very drought tolerant. They are an annual in colder zones, but will self-seed for many years of enjoyment. I believe the "strong shall survive" in my garden. You will appreciate my motto!
