The listing, Bones and Wings has ended.

This is a very large piece. It is 7.5 inches wide by 9 inches long.

The centerpiece is layered in black rhinestones with a pewter spider surrounded in delicately bleached raccoon "butterfly" vertebrae.

Metal bat wings stretch out from the sides of the piece.

The bottom of this enormous pendant is fixed with chains that end in wire wrapped bison teeth and coyote toes.

The materials for this piece were ridiculous to find much less to clean.

(Yes, I know...I'm a strange one. -wink-)

(Not shown is the leather cord from which it hangs)

I was messing with this last night and debating on whether to semi-laquer the bones. I would give it a totally new feel in a way. I love handmade jewelry. I rarely wear my stuff, even not silver pieces/rings that I wouldn't list here. BUT I custom order rings from artists I admire. Strange huh? My engagement ring is a custom made piece I drew for the artisan and then gave her artistic license to do anything to alter it or add to it. It's huge. 4 big silver skulls holding an enormous amethyst. Billy Blue made my right hand ring finger ring, If you look at it one way it is Cthulhu and upside down it is a "green man". Cthulhu's tentacles hold a big blue topaz. I have several of his pieces. There are some amazing silversmiths out there you should check out.

I love this piece... truly love it. The true fact is, I don't wear necklaces often and I don't usually wear anything I make. I know its great advertising when someone comments but I like to leave that "me" at home in front of the work table or out in the little shed in the back. I've been getting some substantial offers lately though about a "line" but nothing that won't promise me my integrity in tact.
