Found the drivers CD for it. Including in auction. But I would reco mmend only using the network driver to connect the system you use it in to the internet to download the latest drivers & Bios if needed.

what i'm replacing is an AMD athlon XP, how do tell if the mounting holes will align, is such thing a mounting pattern name? also will this come with the processor, heat sink and fan? Thanks for your time
I have fanned you, and will be watching all your future posting. looking forward to your auctions.

well you need to know the cpu series. this board uses an AM3 mounting set. So only am3 & am3+ cpus will fit. This is only the board. Cpu, heatsink, memory and all other parts are NOT INCLUDED. You would have to have an AM# or AM3+ cpu, and ddr3 memory to use this board. The athlon you mentioning is a very old style and will NOT work in this board. I will be having future auction of complete bvoards/cpus/memory in the very near future. Id suggest you wait for those auction if your upgrading from that athlon cpu. Athlon XP cpus use the SOCKET A series pin set. This is a totally different pin set on this board.

Question,I'am not by any means a computer expert, but I changed a mobo (of which was the exact type i took out) so I got lucky a simple switch, Now venturing into what you have to offer is not that simple for anyone to take on without without advance computer knowledge, ie: bios, drivers, jumper settings and so on. is this correct? could one be self taught? like learning from the internet? just curious

i taught myself how to do this, and now I am a product tester for quite a few review sites as well as 2 well known online parts stores ;) Yes, it is totally do-able, as in learning this on your own. Lots of reading and patience! And a few junk parts later, youll get it figured out :)

UNLOCKING 550 and 555 cpus on this motherboard requires alot of work from what I am reading. It requires you to install the F7 bios set(from giganye) run your cpu at over 1.4v (very high imo), and if your lucky it will boot as a quad core cpu (b50 series), but its a 50/50 shot you get nothing better or get lucky and play on a quad :P Just thought I would share this for everyone.

Do you know if this will unlock black edition dual cores like the 550 and 555?

i used it to run a stock 955 Black. Never overclocked anything in test machines, so I wouldnt know what to tell you. I would look for forum posts or google that?

This is one of the top rated budget boards compared to others that came out at the time. Budget mainly because of the single pci-e x16.

your correct. It is a budget board, but I guarantee its better than 90% of most Americans pre-built machines ;)

If you can find one it would be way better than $25 for one on ebay.

i havent found the IO shield, sorry! Im sure if you look around they make universal shields that you punch out the slots yourself.

not included. this was a test sample direct from gigabit. all they send for samples are the boards. Its not hard to find one honestly. If i find one in my storage area, Ill add it to the auction. I have thousands of items to move out, to make room for newer products. I do a lot of review testing for well known websites, and companies and am always rotating things in and out.
