Just a tip hun. Tracking is free now at the post office. It is on the receipt when you pay for postage. :)

Thanks for the tip but the post office closest to my house does not offer tracking, it is and extra 1.00. I do not know why this is, I will make sure to ask the next time I am in since it has seemed to be an issue with a lot of Listians.

Thank you, I will check. Most of my listings are small so they go first class mail because its cheaper, so maybe its the fact that I am using first class over priority.

Priority also comes with insurance now of either $50 or $100 depending on how much your item is worth. This as of the 1st of July. Ask for a tracking sticker at your post office, they are putting a tracking number on it, they just might not be giving you your half with the number on it. I work at the post office, if they are not giving you tracking on priority, express or parcel/ standard post then you need to speak to the post master.

I was to tired last night to add item 2 but here it is along with item 3, again I have pictures just can not post them.

item 2
6 mo Carters Brand Onsie with colorful jungle animals on it and a monkey on the bum. Like new condition, I dont think my son even ever wore this.

Item 3
6 mo Carters Brand, Blue romper that has orange writing and says "surfing dude" on it. It is like new condition to, it was not summer yet when my son was in this size so these items are in super great condition.

Thanks again for bidding everyone!

Hmmm that is odd. Well then that makes me really appreciate the post office in my town then lol...We get free tracking. That sucks though that you don't get the same thing...Of course if it is cheaper for you to do it your way then I would to. I just found it cheaper with what I have done to do the flat rate. May be the difference in prices per state too I don't know. The way I started out with paypal is I just had people pay the shipping to my paypal and left it in there and used it to pay for shipping on stuff I won that wasn't free shipping. Also if you verify your bank account you don't have to have a credit card to pull the money out of paypal with they will transfer it to your bank. Or also the other route is if you have a walmart of a dollar general where you are they sell paypal credit cards that you can link to a paypal account and use the money off of there that way too...I just went the bank route because it is easier. But usually I just leave the money in my paypal for shipping costs for things I win. Oh and also if you have a printer you can print your own shipping labels via usps.com if you know the weight or if you do flat rate which is how I do it and if you do it that way you can use the paypal account to pay the shipping that way too and you don't need to have any kind of card. I have been using paypal for quite a while now so if you ever need help learning it or if you have a question about something shoot me a message I would be happy to help...Best of luck on your auction hun. :)

Also you do know that paypal is free and really rather simple. You don't have to have any money to start it and they cover all money transactions so you and your buyers are protected. Also just another tip with all the messages i see you have here about postage prices. For future you might want to go to flat rate boxes because it doesn't matter what it weighs. If it fits, it ships, and it is set rate prices regardless how far it is going. I use only flat rate because you get the shipping supplies from the post office for free. It is a real money saver and helps organize things a lot. Then you can just post the price in your auction for the size of the box and not have to answer a gazillion questions. Just a thought. :)

I am aware of paypal and its pluses but I do not have a visa card of any sort so paypal is just not an option for me right now. And I am very familiar with flat rate boxes, my very first listing was sent out flat rate shipping and its ended up costing me more than ti would if I just recycled and made packages, so that is what I do. If shipping flat rate is cheaper than thats the option I pick but so far with every listing, flat rate has not been the way to go. Thank you for all of your tips =)

Yea I would be asking them about the tracking too because it was to be a country wide change. They raised the prices of postage and that was one of the offsets was that tracking is free now. It is at the top of your receipt when you pay for postage now. You don't even have to ask for tracking it is electronically added to the top of the reciept it is a long like 14 or so digit number. I would be inquiring and telling them they are going against regulation because all the other post offices in the country have changed to this and they are government regulated. They could get in to some real trouble for that.

This is the lamest source on earth but I have not time to dig for more. Basically tracking is always free when purchased online but is not always free when done in a post office. As the article states in August they are launching the campaign about Priority Shipping, which will thus initiate free tracking for all priority mail. As it stands right now though, the two post offices in my town, one a private post office owned by a wonderful family, with some P.O boxes, nothing fancy, charges for tracking. The other, the giant post office where all of the mail goes before it hits the trucks, charges for tracking as well. I pay for tracking on items with free shipping but free shipping only.
