Hi--I think it would be loose. Have you ever worn anything from the Avenue store? If you have, you can go by that--this fits the same as their usual 26/28 garments. This is true to size--not a 3x that fits like a 2x. However, if you are borderline with your sizes like I am--sometimes you can make it fit. The bra area is adjustable.
