This is not a smartphone, nor unlocked, nor wifi capable. This phone is great for the kids to use. It does have bluetooth, a music player, a camera, and games.

A battery can be bought on ebay or amazon for under $10. I saw one for about $6 on amazon. The battery in the picture is what it looks like when you go to purchase.
