The listing, VERIZON ANDROID SAMSUNG DROID CHARGE 4G LTE READY TO BE ACTIVATED OR HACKED FOR PAGEPLUS has ended.

This is a gently used Samsung Droid Charge 4G LTE phone for the popular Verizon network. All pictures posted are actual pictures of the phone. No this phone is not a wprld phone, but a strict CDMA/LTE phone only capable of running on Verizon's network. This is a no contract phone only meaning the phone is sold without contract.

This can not be used with prepaid Verizon as only 3G phones are allowed on Verizon's prepaid plans (yes I know it's screwed-up for Verizon to allow 4G Data prepaid and only 3G phone). There is supposedly a way to hack the phone to show-up / work as 3G so you can use it on Page Plus, but this will require alot of research and for me right now is a waste of my time.

The phone is in almost new condition. It comes with battery and charger only. It has a clean ESN and can be newly activated with any Verizon Contract or Family Share plan. The phone will also come with a clean and unused 4G LTE SIM installed. You will need this to activate the phone or if you wish to hack it for page plus.

Thank so much. I think it's just in the nature of Listia, even if you look like a fool at first. I think people try to do it to flush out scams for the most part. Most sellers will be disturbed by stupid questions, but only scammers will react in the extreme or not answer at all. A good acid test from what i've seen. Thanks. Fanned.

The 4G software is alot harder to manipulate though on phones like the Droid Charge because they don't have the same software as the International/World phones do. Which is why people get 2G on pageplus

It's just cause there not compatible. I did ALOT of research. Pic mail normally don't work either. It's weird but eventually page plus will get 4g hopefully

I'm not sure if we're on the same page. :-D... Pageplus isn't incompatible with Verizon because it uses the Verizon network.. But it's limited to 3G. The problem comes from the fact you have to shut-off the 4G (WCDMA) module (software)... so you can register it as a 3G (I think the 3G number for most 4G phones is the ESN minus the last digits). Thing is Pageplus doesn't check at the door, if you tell them your porting a blackberry they'll believe you and let you in. Verizon won't as soon as they get the ESN they know it's a 4G and they'll tell you you''ll have to take a contract. I also know and helped two friends convert their Droid Bionics to Pageplus with full 4G. Plus honestly with 4G Mifi service so cheap there's a much better way to do it. Get 4G wireless from some place like Milleniacom (4G Verizon LTE) and use that to do VoIP or Google Voice over the phone. The fact you get a whopping 20GB of data for $70 makes the price well worth it. I just helped a friend of mine do this on a T-Mobile Mifi and his voice quality was flawless with Google Voice, using GrooveIP as the dialer. :-D

Just a heads up if you use this kind of phone on page plus you lose a lot of features. I have page plus and 4g phones usually only get 2g service. I did ALOT of research on this. Just a friendly heads up for the seller so your not misinforming and get burned with the credits. Good luck and fanned

Actually it depends a good amount of them get 3G CDMA like the Droid Bionic. Some of them do kick down to 2G service though. Have no idea why.

No Verizon only. It will not work on GSM providers because it does not have a universal aerial inside. The only antenna on this model is for Verizon CDMA/WCDMA/LTE. This in addition to software limitations. In effect this phone will never be usable with AT&T, T-Mobile, or any other GSM carrier. Thanks and fanned.

No it can't technically be used on Verizon prepaid. Verizon doesn't allow 4G phones to be used on prepaid. The closest you can come to this is by registering it as a 3G phone on Pageplus. But as far as I know this requires some light tech knowledge as the phone software must be modified and the ESN has to be read minus or two digits. The catch is you have to do it via Pageplus because Verizon will ID the phone instantly (They're pretty strict about no 4G phones on prepaid) and 2 on Pageplus the service will be 3G only, no 4g. At least until Pageplus works out another deal.

Fanned you to unexpectablelove, BTW if it helps just imagine it like an Android based iPod without the cell service. Actually if you get an unlimited MiFi connection you can use that with a Voip Dialer to do cell service. I know a guy who swears by it. :-)
