This isn't your ordinary Director's Cut as over 50% of the scenes were not in the original film. In 1977 Richard Donner began filming his epic 2 part adaptation of the Superman comic book series. After missing his 1978 Summer deadline he was pulled off of filming Part 2 so he could finish Part 1. It was released in December of 1978. Marlon Brando was due a 12% cut of Part 2's profits even though he appeared in the film for only 15 minutes. The producers wanted Brando's scenes out and Donner wouldn't budge. A few days later he received a telegram stating his services were no longer needed. Those 15 minutes, plus much more, are here. This film was IGN's "Best Director's Cut of 2006" and is rated 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. For those of you who wish I had this on DVD, I DO!!! DVD is listed by itself in a separate auction.
