Auction includes two wooden incense holders. The long one is exactly 5 inches. The other, a 3 inch lotus engraved with the symbol "OM" pronounced "aum".

Om is the beginning of the mantra "om mani padme hum". In apparent symbology 'mani' or the Jewel refers to the mind or consciousness and 'padme' or the lotus refers to the Heart that is the source of Love energy. In this sense it is also a mantra of union and harmony of mind, consciousness, and inner heart - a hallmark of perfect human being, God, Allah, Buddha..(an awakened one). It can also be interpreted as, "Salutations to the Jewel of consciousness which has reached the Seat of the Heart." Hum refers to "indivisible" or an unified whole. Esoterically translated as, "hail to the one who is in union." Mantra's are chanted while meditating to promote relaxation, build internal energy or life force and develop compassion, love, patience, generosity and forgiveness.
