Description

The listing, 1930's TRAIN RAILROAD STEWARDESS BUISNESS PHOTO CARD RARE COLLECTIBLE SAN FRANCISCO STREAMLINER! has ended.

Very slightly larger than a "Modern" buisness card I estimate this to be about 2 inches by three inches long.

On the card is a photo of the actual Stewardess, a Ms Papnick who rode the Chicago and North western, the Union Pacific and the famed Streamliner out of San Francisco and traveling east to Chicago where she lived.

Ms Papnick wears the Stewardess uniform of the day complete with 'Winged' cap.

In the 1930's you were allowed to give gratuities (Tips) to the personel at all stages of the trip and so it would not be uncommon to actually ask for service from Ms Papnick! Thus the card was given as a salesperson of today would leave you with thiers to promote good buisness.

Have a great time bidding! Free Shipping!

(Hint, I had NEVER seen anything like these until I I aquired quite a few from an estate sale years ago in Pelham New York. There are not many left as I sold many on ebay in the 1990's and early 2000's.

This is really pretty cool. I wish more service people (servers @ restaurants, bartenders & servers (not at a dive)) were supplied such cards. My family goes out for dinner every Wednesday night and we rotate restaurants. We have specific servers we ask for at a few, but it took awhile to remember their names (I write them down, but somehow, that always gets lost in my purse! Cards go into a card holder I carry or into my wallet. Writing down their names & putting them into my card holder doesn't seem to work.

Theres nothing wrong, and everything CORRECT about thinking enough of ones self to carry a buiness card no matter what you do in life.Time to rise to a new level of class in this country where the individual is King and the government and government agencies take a back seat!

I have a Personal Card, not a business card. I know people who have Couples Cards (generally married). Includes my name, email addresses I use the most, my cell number & my secondary phone (messages only), my Facebook address & my old one had my home url (I'm no longer with that isp so I no longer have that home page). I have 2 styles, with the info rearranged, different colors & flowers. Both look very nice & are very me! I've had compliments on how they look - professional. But that's why I carry a card case; one side has my card, the other side holds cards from people (personal & business). There's a small middle section in the holder for appointment cards (doctor, dentist, salon, spa). I use it until I can put the time/date into my calendar on my iPhone.
