As a general rule, the seller pays the small fee that paypal charges, and that's the same, regardless of whether an invoice is used. Someone ALWAYS pays paypals fee. The only difference with invoicing is tha 1. I have a continous record of all my transactions and 2. when I use an invoice, it automatically opens up the paypal shipping app when it's paid, alerting me that the invouice has been paid and that I now need to proceed to paypal to print out your shipping label and ship your package. I use either Priority Mail or !st Class package for shipping 99.5% of all my transactions, and 1st class package is not available from USPS online, only through paypal. So, if I want to send your item by 1st class Pkg (which in this case I would), I can either go through paypal (only available via invoice). or I can load it down with several dollars of stamps (the USPS doesn't like using stamps on anything but letters), or make a 20 mile round trip to the nearest Post Office (if it's open) <If I can round up transportation for that trip>. So, you see, I use paypal invoicing because it does away with all those pesky problems, it's free, and it gives me a continuous record of my transactions.
