I am a avid reader and I don't care what a book looks like as long as all of the pages are present. I am listing a lot of my old books. When I say 'old', I mean old. I've had many of these books for over 30 years. There are many that are no longer in print, but worthy to be.

If you love to read like I do, check out my books. I am re reading them before I list them, so I am adding more on a regular basis. Many of these books have become discolored from age (pages yellowing), many do not have their front covers, some have marks and writing inside (not ruinous), most, the spines are wrinkled and pages may be curled or dogeared. BUT they all have all their pages. THESE ARE WELL USED, WELL-READ BOOKS and worth the time to read.

So, here I offer one of my favorites.

"ON THE BEACH" by Nevil Shute copyright 1957 ISBN 345.24831.9.175 278 pages. At the time, this book was prophetic of devastation to come. The world was held in fear of Atom Bombs and nuclear attacks by other nations. Story-line: The Last Generation...innocent victims of an accidental war, living out the last days of life on earth, making plans that will never be carried out, making do with what they have (however temporary it might be) hoping for the miracle that will not come. As the deadly rain moves ever closer, and the world as we know it winds toward an inevitable end.
