Its more oval than round but the measurements are
7 1/2 in x 5 1/2 measurement of bottom
9 in from bottom to top of purse
no xtra pockets inside or outside just the main one
I'm not sure what a shoulder bag is so I cant really say but strap is long enough to go across body
