yes & yes. Can easily be spot cleaned and air dried as well..It does capture the fur more than one would think..lol It really is a neat thing...thanks for checking it out...I fanned you...

I hadn't thought of using this for ferrets either, but we have 2 that would adore this, and also 4 cats. But the ferrets pretty much rule the roost, so I don't think the cats will be allowed in it! lol :)
