The listing, RE - list = Imperial jade pieces has ended.

This GIN is for an auction I won here on listia, it was an impulse bid and I could really just use the credits for something else. there are 3 turtles, and a strand of very tiny beads the original seller has said that this was imperial jade, and from what I have seen online that stuff goes for a lot of bucks.. and is very collectable.. I will try and get a better photo but currently my phone is acting very badly :/ I do have the OP photo but I did not want to use it incase that was breaking rules :)

I don't care if it's imperial or not. I think it's a great auction and I hope your son has good luck "healing" the other jade turtle. Jade is beautiful no matter where it comes from and we don't need an "expert" to tell us that. Good luck with this auction. F, W & B.

not very long, it is short with lots of tiny beads.. and no the broken turtle is in my sons "hospital" lol he said we cant give it away until it is healed...

I don't think if the woman who sold it to you was actually aware what qualifies as imperial jade. Yes it might still be burman jade but Imperial jade refers to Imperial Green jadeite a particular color variant in color spectrum if it was jadite from burma outside that color spectrum it would just be jadite so simply put just jade with the country of origin the same. This is what I was trying to explain.

Yeah I figured that would be the best way to explain it so you can understand,there is a chart for you there it will show color spectrum of jade and from what part of the world in comes from. The chart there is easier than explaining every little detail but simply put imperial jade does not normally have a marbled look.

Its New Zealand Greenstone not imperial jade sadly the color is to far off from imperial jade same with the consistency of the stone. It might have similar chemical ratio's in the stone but the stone itself is not imperial jade. Jade yes imperial no.

no because I didn't take them to get looked at.. I can't find a gemologist in my area.. and people who I have spoken to at jewelery shops say that they don't know how to appraise jade.. I was going off of the original poster.. she had stated that she got them appraised.. sorry I can't offer much more help then that... if I could of found a gemologist I would have taken them :)
