You are bidding on a brand new Uniden Bearcat 500 channel scanner. Built-in AM/FM radio with 30 presets. Clock/Alarm w/ sleep & snooze. Service search: Police, Fire/EMS,Air, Ham, and Marine. Weather Alert. Okay, Now you may be asking yourself "What's the deal with this thing". Well, I'll tell ya. My wife is a terrible snoop. She likes getting her nose in other peoples bizniz. She had been asking and asking to get a scanner so she could "Be aware things going on around town". She finally purchased this one from some catalog company. It arrived two weeks ago. She removed it from the box, glanced at the instruction manual and plugged it in. She/we listened to several broadcast by police, EMS, and Marine being that we are in a river town. That's it!! For the next 2 weeks it has not been turned on. The other night she says to me "What the heck (not what she said) did I buy that thing for!" $199.00 down the drain. So, here it is!! Barely used. Basically BRAND NEW. Comes with everything that was in the cox including Antenna, AM Antenna, Power Cord (battery back up) and instruction manual. AND, I'm even gonna pay shipping. Taking a big risk here!! No starting bid! reasonable GIN request will be considered! GOOD LUCK !!

is this digital or the older analog frequencies because most police use the newer trunk systems that run on digital channels

Honestly I don't know. This is a 2013 model that Scans USA and Canada Bands. All I see regarding digital is a small notice that this scanner cannot decode the digital TV transmissions in use on most channels. We did not use it long but we heard nearly every type of broadcast. Police, fire, Air, Marine.
