Lot of Antique JAPAN Hand Painted Porcelain Cats & Gold Lusterware Cat Pin Cushion & Pins - All Original with Pins – Marked; Victorian to Early 1900’s.

These each have the early JAPAN mark and were made in old "Japan" before World War I and World War II other than the small flat white cat that appears to be the oldest. This mark was used before the use of the “NIPPON” and “Made in Japan” mark. Gorgeous hand painted solid porcelain cats; Not worn – not even on the edges and have been carefully stored in a china cabinet for decades. I have posted tons of pictures with every detail to scroll through.

Pin cushion is not marked, but, is traditional early Japanese Lusterware. It can still be used and comes with the old pins pictured. A small amount of the luster finish is slightly worn, but, paint is great! And, the cushion for the pins is the original sand and felt cushion that came with it when it was made. One figurine appears to be a LION. I collected these wonderful antique pieces as a child over 35 years ago and have stored them carefully in a display cabinet. The pieces date from the Victorian period to the 1920's. There are 5 pieces altogether. Measurements: Largest piece is 3 1/4 inches tall. Great sizes and shapes for a wooden shadow box, printers tray, or miniature s display.

Condition:
Beautiful condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing, other than the old mold flaws that you find on ancient porcelain due to the obsolete methods of production in the Olde World foundries.
