The listing, 16gb 3g Iphone has ended.

Hello, up for auction is a sweet 16 GB 3G Iphone, the only catch is .....it's not working. When you plug in to charge the apple screen comes up like normal to charge. but does not turn on after charge. I won this on Listia about a week and a half age you may remember it (he said it had been in contact with water there is no red dot thow). I just good deal on 2G so I'm not going to mess with it. This is a sweet phone if your handy. I'm listing for a 3 days auction cause I got my eye on something!!! SO IT's going Quick!!!! comes with wall charger

i bid on this when the last bidder had this on here, he said it went in the river with him when he was fishing and he said the dot had changed when he tried to get it fixed. i hope i win

here a little other info, it syncs with itunes, when charging the the batterie comea up, and the apple shows up when turned on. seems to me it just needs to be restored but, i don't have the time to mess it, the wife is all ready on me for spending to much messing around with listiaand the iems i aquire lol.

When you plug it into the charger hit the home screen and hold that down then hold down the power button, and if you have a sync cable you can get it to bypass the problem so the phone will load..

I have had the same problem with my Ipod touch and that trick has always worked and considering they are both pretty much the same thing except one is a phone.

Nice phone. Are the dots still on the phone? I've seen some phones that have the dots inside like on the board or such so that the customer cannot replace the dots if it does get water damaged and the phone will still be under warranty. It's very smart on the manufacturer's part. Kinda sucks for the techys who drop there phone in water tho. lol.

haha the BLD is shott!
Happened to my last one and they wont replace it cause the white dot was "PURPLE" not pink or red. They say they change colors of them so people cant change them. But my cousin bought mine and got a new mother board for like $375 wasnt bad deal at the time.

I can't be sure of what's wrong with it until I can troubleshoot the phone. Depending on it's issues, the price to fix it can vary.

just check parts for these on ebay, and the kinda cheap. you can get a new batterie for like $5

No. That's the point. You would have to take the phone completely apart, which would void your warranty, to find the dots. That's why they do that. You take the phone apart to chnge out dots, you void your warranty. You get your phone wet enough to activate the inside dots, you void your warranty.
