Description

The listing, Heirloom ✽ EARLY ANNIE ✽ Canning Tomato ✽ 15 Seeds ✽ Organic has ended.

A very productive, short heirloom variety that produces 3-inch, round, meaty fruits with few seeds. Particularly good for canning because fruit sets all at once. I would still recommend a short tomato cage to keep fruits off the ground. This produced well even in record heat and drought.

Days: 60
Size: Determinate
Season: early-season
Color: red
Type: OP Heirloom
Uses: canning, sauce, salsa, fresh eating

This Auction: You will be receiving 15 seeds from my garden. They will be sent First Class mail for FREE in the United States. I only take Paypal for International bidders, I do combine any additional auction seeds (within 5 days) for no additional shipping charge. I am happy to say that my seeds tested 99-100% germination within 2 weeks at a temp of 70°F in the spring. Excellent for beginners!

Propagation Method: From seed, sow seeds indoors 6 weeks before last spring frost. Sow 2-3 seeds per pot and thin to one plant per container. After four weeks, transplant seedlings to larger pots, and about 10 days before the last spring frost, begin hardening the plants to the outdoors. Transplant your plants to a sunny, highly composted location when soil temperatures are at least 55 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Stake or cage the plants for support and to prevent sprawling on the ground.

I am looking for good seeds for container gardening. Are these good for that? If not can you recommend one that is?

This would probably be one of the best. Cherry and currant tomatoes do well in containers too if you control the top growth.
