My honest opinion is some of these older phones have better sound than the new ones and better reception, to answer your question of the call quality. I'm guessing your second question meant to say does this still hold a good charge? Yes it still holds a great charge it still hasn't died since I charged it recently to make sure it still works but have not left in on continusly till it died either. Great phone
