This is an uncirculated 1987 silver eagle. It has 1 oz of 0.993 silver. This is an earlier date which was widely dispersed and is a little harder to find than the newer ones. The mintage is about 1/3 of the amount made in each of the last 3 - 4 years.

my bad - I did a typo. These coins have 0.0007% copper to make the silver slightly harder.
