The one my mom had back in the 80's was whistle activated. A high pitched sound would activate it and it would beep. A low beep but a beep. Hers didn't last long but being that these look new I would say that they probably work a lot better than the early models. Look it up on Google.

Yes, these look very updated, but they are not a new invention. They are still pretty cool though and helpful when you lose your keys. Just hope you can whistle loud.
