I don't see any scratches. I believe the gems to be real as I know its true silver with real gold accents. But honestly dont know for sure.

It looks like it has an applied antique patina. If so it will not polish bright and shiny. I have several dark pieces like this. They do not polish due to the finish that is baked on.

When purchasing necklace pendant bales they make the antique finish ones to use on old or patinad pendants.

Back in the 1970's I remember real Tibetan Silver was 925(sterling) but it was made in Tibet, it was beautiful like this. The things you see today don't have this kind of quality to them. It's lovely! The other one mentioned above looks different to me, again more like a modern version. The ones we bought in the 1970's were probably made as early 1940 -to 1970.
