The listing, vintage silent butler painted roses awesome!! has ended.

Love these silent butler for storing jewelry and trinkets..this one is brown with a curved handle and yellow roses..does show sign of wear begetting it's age. it measures 10" with handle and the pan has a 7" diameter and is 1.5" deep.

originally a butler would sweep crumbs off the table into this people also used these when emptying ashtrays into these in the 40's 50's and 60's..though this one shows no signs of being used for that purpose and was decorative

there is no rust..not sure where you are referring too..if it's the 2nd picture , by the handle..that is a reflective off the orange sheet..clicking on the pic will give you a better view of the condition..as stated this is an older piece and does have some wear and scratches to the paint

I hear ya..i went through a phase where i bought so many of these, hung them around my dining room like a border...drove my dh nuts i think!..well have since changed my decor..so though someone else could enjoy a few of them
