Lisa, I always wanted a monkey ever since I was a child. Grew up collecting monkey stuff and gave it all away thinking I would never get one. Well I did and It's a big challenge to take on. It's like having a baby that never grows up. You have to have the proper food and facility to have one. And vet bills are exspensive. I would give nothing not to have him. He is my life and each day he puts a smile on my face.

My 20 yr. old Daughter Loves and collects anything with monkeys on it and I, Myself will buy her things with Monkeys on it .....I did do a little research after my first comment to you today...and YES , I did read a LOT of Pros & Cons with owning a Monkey....I also read a lot of horror stories where ppl. would buy or send money for a Monkeys and NEVER recieve them......SAD ! ((( I think somebody would have to meet me somewhere))) I think for now I'll just stick with the "DREAM" of having one .....My husband told me I was crazzzyyyy!, We had just got our children grown & out the house and I wanted to get a Monkey to replace them!!!......hahaha

Lisa, Yes there are a lot of rip off's never send money. If you decide to get one go see first. My husband thought I was crazy too. But now he would not trade him for the world. He is part of the family. You have to have a lot of time on your hands to own one. The one that does not require a lot is a mormoset they are small and only get the size of a soda can. And they cost the least. You also have to see if your state allows them. Illinois banned monkeys as of Jan 1. I got Bryce before the ban so he is grandfathered in. I know lots of monkey owners. So if you decide in owning one let me know. I can help you locate one. Monkeys are presious and the love they give is unconditional. They are more human than you know. If this is your dream then What are you waiting for ? Go get one girl before you cant. Just do the reasearch on them before you decide this is for you.
