Description

The listing, Reborn Baby (Holidays are here ) has ended.

Please Note: I do not create these dolls, I do not have a reborn store. I purchased this item online as a gift for one of my students during the Thanksgiving Holiday. Upon my arrival to work after the holidays, I found out her parents moved without prior notice. This reborn baby is brand new, I did not take her out of the box (except for picture taking for this listing) she is in "a Brand New Condition" she has not been exposed to any of the elements. The Description below is the one I read when I purchased this item. The doll is gorgeous and will make anyone who sees her happy. Thank you.

"This listing is for a complete reborn baby. I paint with genesis heat set paints. I strive for the ultimate realism and my dolls have been mistaken for real babies. Baby will be bald as most babies are.Dolls are made with super soft vinyl on cloth bodies. I do not have a working baby scale but baby will feel cuddly in your arms."

who cares if it is the real thing .either you like it and want it or not. i love it,it doesn't matter to me where it came from,so stop all the down talk people. don't bid if you are unsure

I don't understand why people become so defensive. I think some people don't know to get their feelings across. I agree, if you don't like what you see don't bid. It's never that easy on Listia as you might imagine. I've actually seen listings that I thought were typos as far as shipping and I personally contact the owner via e-mail. I actually had a lady thank me she didn't realize she was charging a ridiculous amount of $$ for shipping. Accidents happen, I just feel people need to know the proper Listia Etiquette. Thank you :D

Bountiful Baby is from Walmart. Reborners use them to reborn dolls. Than the artist 'reborns' it by repainting, glue on mohair eyelashes and hair on head, or sew on, sometimes leave bald, open body to fill with ground glass or pvc pellets, and so on. The artist usually tells the weight of the doll. If this doll has had all that done it is reborn. The artist includes a certificate of reborning with the doll when it's sold. How good she is at her craft depends on the value of the doll. So if this doll has had all the work done it doesn't matter that she came from Walmart. I see people on eBay selling Bountiful Baby for reborning, but it isn't a 'Reborn' doll until all the work is done. If your doll has been repainted than it is a reborn doll. If it has not been painted than it's simply a doll from Walmart.

Good luck :-) perhaps you can. According to another Listician you find the same exact one in Wal-mart, if anything take a look there :-) if you don't win

Mesheck- to know if you want to bid or not you need to ask questions, especially when the seller says they are not knowledgeable about the item they sell. Moocow doesn't seem offended by folks asking questions. She seems very willing to do her best to provide honest answers. This is not your auction. If you have questions for Moocow then ask, but you have no business coming here to criticize other people. And, by the way, I have indeed bid; I'm just not the highest bidder.

I think you guys are very nice for sticking up for me. I think her comment was directed to the person that said she could get the doll in Wal-Mart and basically saying that I was misleading and that I should get my money back. She was aiming to that person. Asking questions is never a problem and no seller should hesitate to answer any questions or post any pictures especially for an item that could be thousands of points. No one wants to offend anyone. I know she wasn't referring to you a lot of people are talking about the person that told me I should ask for my money back and that I shouldn't mislead. One of the first comments was that person. :-)

also you can't send message on the app. Sorry for showing concern good luck with your auction. I'd be careful. You know they could request their credits back for a misrepresented item

Okay, I did say it was with all due respect. I misunderstood you is all as you can see in my other comments I took what you were saying into consideration because I'm trying to find out more information as well as tell the bidders if they happen to see it in Wal-mart then they should purchase it there. I just think you came out a bit too strong. No a problem misunderstandings happen all the time. No hard feelings :)

Mag Start: Try not give moocow4ever a hard way to go. It is one thing to help but it is another thing to try to get other people to change there mind on bidding on that baby doll. people learn from there own misstake and sometime people do not have to tell people to much information. you sound like you are trying to sabatage moocow4ever. why don't you let that conversation go and let her do what she want on lista. listia is for all to be happy and not made up for other people negative comment. This is her auction on lista not your.Mag Star, like you told moocow4ever you just trying to help. now Iam telling you Iam just trying to help you understand let her do what she want with her auction listia. Thanks.

from looking at the doll you might of gotten ripped off I have seen the same baby doll at Walmart for 19.99 she has the moveable arms legs and head. I hope you didn't pay reborn price for that one

I live in Wal-mart and honestly I've never seen an exact doll, sorry to tell you. This isn't the best reborn doll out there but to say you will find the same exact doll I think I think its pushing it a bit. Also with all due respect you coming on here and leaving a comment such as that one is in bad taste. I'm not saying you are saying it in a negative way but you could have inbox that concern instead of trying to sabotage another Listician auction.

If she has been bleached, repainted, opened to replace stuffing to weight her, etc then she is a reborn doll. Bountiful Baby is one that is used but definitely not the type molds used for the valuable ones. Bountiful Baby is generally made as a reborn for a child but I'm sure adults would have them too.

Reborn dolls for children are weighted with PVC pellets or 'beans'. Collector dolls use finely crushed glass.

Some dolls have a magnet inside the head and mouth for a magnetic pacifier and hairbow.

Did the seller you got it from provide any information about these things.

my darling there are pictures up. Who's going to request their credits if they are seeing the pictures? wether it was intentional or not every Listician know the unspoken rules of Listia. Like I said, even if it wasn't your intention its bad Listia etiquette is all, just for you to remember for next time. Anytime you want to tell a seller something you inbox them or tell them you have a question they could answer. That's it. Thank you for being concern.

Hi! God bless, you and yours and Merry Christmas!! All that matters is the individual, and this individual is in love with this baby!!!!! I've always wanted a daughter, but unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be for me and I had to have a hysterectomy at 32. My Dr. said my baby making factory probably closed down at about 25,lo!!! My blessings, however, is I married my high school sweetheart the summer after we graduated ,and by the Grace of God, I had 2 sons by the time I was 24, if I hadn't, I wouldn't have any children at all. So, there was a reason I had my babies so young, even though no one told me at the time, lol!! Now my oldest is 20 and doesn't live at home anymore and my youngest is a sophomore in high school talking about where he wants to go off to college!!!!! Um, No, I'm not ready!! However, with a beautiful looking little baby girl like her, I would never have to deal with empty nest syndrome!!!! So I say to each his own!!! If you want to, BID, if not, please move on because there are those of us who are interested!!! Thank you to all who read my whole rant, lol!!! :-)

People question how she's made, me included, because how many credits are bid depends on the value of the item. Bidders want details. Sometimes questions are thought of that didn't occur to you. You are very forthcoming in your answers, providing photos, the description you give. Like you said, you are not an expert about reborn dolls, just bought this one, so it's understandable that there will be information you don't know or didn't know people was needed.

I'm no expert on reborn dolls, but I've been wanting one too and did some researching. I don't want an "made to reborn" doll but one already done. I love crafting but I just bought an embroidery machine so I'm now putting all my time into that. I've learned a lot about reborn dolls just by reading and asking.

Asking questions doesn't mean a buyer doesn't want the doll, but the opposite, they do! It's not complaining, but getting informed!

This is absolutely ridiculous! I make reborns and this kit DID NOT come from walmart. Bountiful Baby is a family owned company that sales items from their website, not from walmart. If you do not like the doll, do not comment or bid on it. Move on. If you are expecting a super fancy reborn, go to ebay and buy one of the $1,000+ dolls there. Otherwise, bid for free and hope you win this one.

What grade & subject do you teach, Moocow? Being a teacher is wonderful. My youngest two kids, now 29 & 34, were born handicapped so I ended up home schooling them from 6th grade on. I enjoyed teaching them. They live at home with us. My daughter used to substitute teach 4th graders when she was about 18 or 20. The school was always calling her. They have Asbergers among other things.

oh no! :-( I'm sorry to hear that. The world is unfair. I'm a special Ed teacher assistant, but I'm not doing it much longer. I graduate with my B.A in Business this summer and I'm almost done with my certificate program to become a vet assistant. I love animals, my heart lays with them. I can't do teaching much longer. its not for me. :-( God bless your children, hope everything turns our good with :'-(
